Description
A needle extender is commonly used for LEEP (loop electrosurgical excision procedure), which is a procedure that uses a wire loop heated by electric current to remove cells and tissue in a woman's lower genital tract. LEEP is used to diagnose and treat abnormal or cancerous conditions, such as: Cervical or vaginal problems found during a pelvic exam, Abnormal cells found during a Pap test, Cancer of the cervix or vagina, Polyps (benign growths), and Genital warts.
